Wild Ferns Lanolin Range

Lanolin is the natural oil which is present in sheep wool. After the sheep is shorn, the wool goes through a wool washing process to remove impurities and the all-important wool grease. This wool grease is further washed and refined to produce pure lanolin. This pure lanolin is blended with other natural ingredients such as collagen, manuka honey and vitamin E, to produce the premium products available in our Wild Ferns lanolin skincare range. |

New Zealand lanolin is universally recognised as the finest lanolin available. The sheep in New Zealand graze on some of the cleanest, greenest and least polluted pastures in the world. In particular, the sheep stations in the alpine areas of the South Island of New Zealand, produce wool and lanolin of the highest quality.

Lanolin Facial Lightening Crème With Cherry Blossom 50ml bottle
Your skin naturally creates melanin, but sometimes produces more than normal which causes darker patches of skin (pigmentation). Many people will ask what the difference is between this product and the Hand Crème with Aloe Vera. There are a few things to mention if this is the case, and they are as follows: This product has the specific nail treatment ingredient (Prosina), it is in a tube (if purchasing for themselves, they may have a preference as to whether they like the convenience of a tube, or the pot option). However, there is no reason why the customer needs to choose between them. This is perfect for during the day, with the Hand Crème with Aloe Vera, with its slightly thicker and more intensive formula perfect to apply first thing in the morning or last thing at night before bed.

This is an intensive moisturising hand crème containing pure Lanolin, and the soothing effects of Chamomile and Aloe Vera to assist in the softening and repairing of rough, dry, or damaged hands. This crème is especially effective at the end of the day or after physical activity such as gardening due to is intensive healing and moisturising properties. As with the Hand and Nail Crème with Prosina, many people will question the difference between our two hand products. The clear difference is the packaging, and many will have a preference towards a tube or a pot. This Rejuvenating Hand Crème is slightly more intensive, and is also referred to as a barrier crème. But, as mentioned with the Hand & Nail Crème with Prosina, it is not a bad idea to suggest both hand products – this one with its slightly more intensive formula for last thing at night before bed, and the other for during the day as it is a little lighter.

KEY INGREDIENTS
The key ingredients used to further enhance the exceptional qualities of lanolin in this new Wild Ferns range are explained in a little more depth now.
Placenta
Placenta as used in Wild Ferns Lanolin is ovine (sheep) or vegetable. It rejuvenates and regenerates the skin leaving it silky and smooth. Placenta stimulates the repair of sun damaged and wrinkled skin. Non greasy and easily absorbed, placenta is rich in life giving proteins to help stimulate blood flow. This increases the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the skin tissue. Helps reduce depth of wrinkles, aids tissue repair and reduces skin blemishes. Placenta is found in one of our Night Crèmes.
EPO (Evening Primrose Oil)
Helps improve the sag and ageing of the skin by adding strength and flexibility. A highly moisturising emollient oil helps clear blemishes, soothing skin irritations and softening lines. Maintaining the skin's softness, EPO refines skin texture and restores suppleness which helps to prevent dehydration. EPO helps the natural condition of the skin, and is especially beneficial to particularly dry skin. EPO is also found in one of our Night Crèmes.
Green Tea
Green Tea is particularly rich in antioxidants. Antioxidants neutralise free radicals in the environment. These free radicals are caused by everyday environmental factors such as air, sunlight and pollution. They have been medically recognised as the cause of degenerative skin diseases such as wrinkles and skin discolourations, and can damage cells and harm the immune system. It is believed that using products that are high in antioxidants can help prevent or limit these negative effects. You will find Green Tea in the Facial Moisturiser with SPF15.
Ginseng
Ginseng is also renowned for its antioxidant properties, so therefore ideal in a skincare product. The beneficial properties of Ginseng can be found with Royal Jelly in one of the Night Crèmes.
Royal Jelly
Royal Jelly is a milky white substance that is a secretion that worker bees produce to feed larvae and the queen bee in a honey beehive. It is extremely powerful, rich and nutritious. As Royal Jelly cannot be made with the help of science, it is 100% natural as it is all harvested direct from the honey hives. Royal Jelly is vitamin rich and has antioxidant and moisturising qualities, and these work together to help reverse the skin ageing process, which is why it is often used in skincare products. It is most common in facial products. Royal Jelly also has beneficial antiseptic properties which help with the management of blemish prone skin. It is found in the Facial Serum and our Night Crème with Ginseng.
Collagen
Collagen is a moisture retaining protein that rejuvenates and replaces protein back into the skin. This helps the skin retain moisture, thereby giving it a more youthful appearance. Collagen also promotes healthy cell renewal, elasticity, resilience and tone leaving the skin soft and healthy. The depletion of collagen in our skin leads to the formation of wrinkles and the occurrence of other signs of ageing - which is clearly why replacing it is so popular in the nearly continuous fight against the visible signs of growing old.
You have heard of collagen implants in lips - with the resulting plump, lush look? Collagen in skincare works in a similar way - it plumps up the skin in and around wrinkles making them appear less visible.
The Facial Moisturiser and Eye Crème both contain collagen.
Aloe Vera
Aloe Vera has long been known for its healing properties. It is for this reason you will find it in many different health and well being products, including skincare. It has a strong moisturising capacity, and assists in the natural healing and regenerating of skin cells. Aloe Vera also contains a number of vitamins and minerals that are believed to promote healthy skin and has the ability to stimulate the production of Collagen. Gentle, and yet extremely rich and beneficial in a skincare product, Aloe Vera is an Essential ingredient in any range. You will find Aloe Vera in the Facial Cleansing Gel.
AAH 650+ Manuka Honey
You will all be very familiar with AAH 650+ Manuka Honey. The antibacterial and antioxidant benefits of this honey can be found in the Heel and Foot Balm.
